Janine specialises in event conceptualisation, strategic event project management, and corporate client and sponsorship account management. Prior to her role as CEO of the company, Janine worked at espAfrika – owners and producers of the acclaimed Cape Town International Jazz Festival – for over 11 years. Her responsibilities during her tenure included corporate client and sponsor relationship management; in addition, she was tasked with assuming the roles of resident concept designer and sponsorship proposal writer. Janine has worked with blue-chip clients in banking, insurance, telecommunications and liquor brands. Moreover, her time at espAfrika afforded her the opportunity to work on several of their biggest projects, including award ceremonies, gala dinners, international conferences, media and brand launches, and large live music events and festivals.
Amelia-Jane Baird

Amelia-Jane is a seasoned professional with a diverse range of experience in the events industry. She also holds a qualification in Food Service Management from CPUT. Her creativity and logical thinking have been instrumental in developing innovative event solutions. Furthermore, she is a skilled negotiator, which has enabled her to secure the best possible deals from suppliers and contractors while remaining within budget. Amelia-Jane ensures that events are executed cost-effectively to the highest possible standard.

This ever-smiling, ever-caring, irrepressible entrepreneur is a true job-creating champion. After being awarded a scholarship by the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation to study stage management in 1998, China eventually joined the management team at espAfrika. During this period, he ran espAfrika's New Business Development Initiatives and was responsible for the growth and expansion of the company's profile into new and exciting territories. China Crew's partnership with The Industry Collab has facilitated the transfer of vital skills to unemployed youth from Langa, Khayelitsha and Gugulethu, creating a wealth of employment opportunities and is still going strong since its inception in 2006. China's passion for training young people in event management and production has brought about many new project and event opportunities.

Nombulelo, affectionately known in the industry as Nombu, is a consummate hospitality professional. This tenet has benefitted her immensely during her 20 years in the travel and tourism industry, during which she has accrued considerable experience in several projects, event management, and marketing. Nombu's strengths lie in the conceptualisation, planning, coordination and efficient execution of projects and events in accordance with the client's vision.
